Coco Gauff’s Latest Signature Shoe Lands for the US Open

Fresh off her role as the USA flag bearer alongside LeBron James at the 2024 Paris Olympics, reigning US Open champion Coco Gauff is set to return to New York City with the launch of her latest signature shoe. The Coco G2, officially announced today, comes two years after the debut of her first signature sneaker, the CG1. “I had as much fun designing and collaborating on the CG2 as I did with the CG1,” Gauff shared, highlighting that the new model is a true reflection of her personal taste and style

A Stylish Tribute to Parisian Architecture

The Coco G2 preserves the mid-top profile and retro-inspired design of its predecessor while drawing inspiration from the New Balance 550—one of Gauff’s favorite silhouettes. The design incorporates geometric elements that pay homage to Parisian architecture, a nod to Gauff’s admiration for the city. The “Power and Grace” colorway, featuring oxidized blue and firefly hues, embodies the dynamic energy of New York City and the US Open. Distinctive design features include a tennis ball graphic on the tongue, replacing the 550’s traditional basketball logo, and the inscription “Two” on the right heel tab, offering a subtle, feminine touch. The shoe is further enhanced by a mix of textures, such as diamond-knit mesh around the collar, heel, and tongue, and suede overlays on the saddle, adding both visual and tactile interest.

But the CG2 is not just about style—it’s built for peak performance. The shoe features a FuelCell midsole with a carbon fiber plate, keeping pace with the latest trends in high-performance footwear to deliver optimal energy return. The Ndurance outsole provides exceptional slip resistance and durability, making the CG2 a reliable choice for high-intensity matches.

The Coco G2 will be available tomorrow through New Balance for $170 USD. Fans attending the US Open can also visit “Coco’s Court,” a pop-up event on August 23-24, curated by Gauff herself, offering an immersive experience into her world both on and off the court.
