Adidas is getting a jump start on April Fool’s Day with its latest tongue-in-cheek invention, the Box Shoe. This unique footwear option, which was displayed on the Adidas Confirmed app, is just what it sounds like: “the box shoe Adidas for your feet.”
The Box Shoe is a playful homage to the April Fool’s Day spirit. It has a humorous upside-down shape with the lid facing down and a cut-out flap that functions as both an opening and a tongue. Thick laces are incorporated into the surface, enhancing the april fool humorous concept.While the sales website mentions a “boxy fit” and offers a product number (AF0104) that neatly recalls April Fool’s Day, it’s questionable whether Adidas plans to sell The Box Shoe. With the beautiful slogan “Adidas the box shoe price upon request,” the business really appears to be tempting followers with the prospect.
