Ai Weiwei’s First US Retrospective in a Decade Coming to Seattle Art Museum

Renowned Chinese artist Ai Weiwei will have his first US retrospective in a decade at the Seattle Art Museum in 2025. Opening on March 12, the exhibit will feature over 100 works, curated by Foong Ping. The show will explore Ai’s art and activism, balancing his life story with his impactful creations. Despite past controversies, this exhibit aims to present a comprehensive view of Ai’s provocative and influential career. The exhibit runs through September 7, 2025.
