Snoop Dogg has just put up one of the most unique pieces of hip-hop memorabilia on the market: one of his smoked blunt roaches.
This item is part of his ongoing “Tha Shiznit” auction hosted by The Realest, and it’s the first-ever authenticated roach from the rap legend himself. Smoked in front of a TRUeST Authenticator on March 27 this year, the roach has undergone a meticulous process of being “collected, covertly marked, documented, and preserved” inside a solid resin block, ensuring it’s no longer consumable. The resin block is then housed in the ashtray Snoop used during the smoke session, making it a perfect display piece for the highest bidder.
The auction also features other memorable artefacts from Snoop Dogg, including a Doggystyle gold plaque from the Canadian Recording Industry Association, a signed tour itinerary and tech rider, a custom Death Row Records logo pendant by King Ice, and his handwritten tour setlist. “Each item up for bid is a tangible reminder of Snoop’s impact on the world, from original lyric sheets and stage-worn items to one-of-one studio masters that have never been available,” The Realest notes.
