In a bold move to shake up the traditional horology landscape, Matteo Violet Vianello, a renowned watch connoisseur and GPHG academy member, launches his own brand, Anoma, with a vision to redefine the art of watchmaking.
Inspired by the sculptural designs of Charlotte Perriand, a French designer and architect, Anoma’s inaugural timepiece, A1, boasts a unique rounded triangular stainless steel case that pays homage to Perriand’s iconic 1950s coffee table.
Defying conventional watch design norms, the A1 measures 39mm in width and 38mm in height, making it a surprisingly wearable piece that appears even smaller on the wrist due to its curved and lug-less design.
Vianello’s inspiration comes from various sources, including sculptures, buildings, and furniture, all united by a sense of tension and balance. The A1’s asymmetrical dial, finished with three layers of lacquer, exudes a mesmerizing allure, shifting from two-tone to a deep oceanic blue.
Limited to a “First Series” engraving, with the first 100 pieces individually numbered, the Anoma A1 is now available for pre-order until July 6, retailing at £1,300 GBP/ $1,650 USD. Join the revolution in watchmaking and discover more at Anoma’s official website.
