Jordan Hume and Kathleen Dickie are gearing up for an exciting skydive to raise funds for The Little Art Stars and The Dementia Arts Trust, two charities under the umbrella of the Ayr-based Little Art School. The school, which has been operating for ten years, offers home schooling and after-school art classes for individuals ranging from six years old to the elderly.
The Little Art Stars: Supporting Vulnerable Children in Ayrshire
The Little Art Stars works with schools in South and East Ayrshire to help vulnerable children build confidence and develop social skills, while The Dementia Arts Trust provides art education to elderly residents in local care homes. Both Jordan and Kathleen are deeply involved in these charitable initiatives and are passionate about raising funds to support their efforts.

“We visit primary schools to hold art classes, giving kids who need social interaction a respite,” Jordan explained. “We also run art programs in care homes through the Dementia Arts Trust, helping residents with the condition.”
Skydiving for a Cause: Fundraising for The Little Art Stars and The Dementia Arts Trust
Jordan will be skydiving for The Little Art Stars, while Kathleen will jump for The Dementia Arts Trust. The event is set for August 18 in Auchterarder, and the pair is thrilled about the adventure. “I’ve skydived a few times before, but this will be a new experience for Kathleen,” Jordan noted.
Successful Fundraising Efforts and Community Impact
The fundraising efforts have already seen significant success, with hundreds of pounds raised for both charities. “The support from friends and family has been incredible,” Jordan said. “This skydive is the most dramatic fundraiser we’ve done, and we’re excited to continue our classes and expand our reach within schools and care homes in South and East Ayrshire.”
