Bentley pays homage to the final chapter of its 4L twin-turbo V8 engine with the exclusive “Edition 8” release in North America. This limited collection showcases variants of the Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur models, each curated with luxurious options from Bentley’s bespoke Mulliner division.
Highlighting the “Edition 8” lineup are unique features such as Palm Fluting on the seats, a debut for mainstream Bentley models, along with a choice between 22-inch five-spoke or ten-spoke wheels and Bentley’s Rotating Display. Each model also includes Comfort Specification seats with contrast stitching, elevating the interior’s opulence. Emphasizing exclusivity, “Edition 8” badging adorns the exterior, seats, and treadplates, while customers can select from over 60 hues in the Mulliner Extended Paint range.
As Bentley prepares to introduce its Ultra Performance Hybrid electrocharged powertrain, the “Edition 8” marks a farewell in America for the current-generation V8, a stalwart since its inception in 2012. With over 53,000 V8-powered Continental GT, GTC, and Flying Spur units crafted to date at Bentley’s Crewe, England factory, the shift aligns with Bentley’s “Beyond100” strategy, aiming for hybrid variants across all model lines by 2024.
Price and availability for the “Edition 8” models can be obtained through authorized Bentley dealers in the U.S.
