Billie Eilish took the stage as the musical guest on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. She performed her single “Lunch” from Hit Me Hard and Soft, accompanied by her brother, Finneas, and a band. Before the performance, Eilish joined Colbert for an in-depth interview where they discussed her new album, creating the cover art, and her musical upbringing. Watch the full segment below.
In addition to her performance, Eilish released a new version of “L’amour de Ma Vie (Over Now Extended Edit)” from Hit Me Hard and Soft. This version features 1980s-inspired instrumentation, a faster tempo, and Eilish singing through a vocoder, designed for fans to dance to in the club.
Hit Me Hard and Soft is Eilish’s third album and her first full-length release in three years, following 2021’s Happier Than Ever. Eilish chose to release the album without any singles or a promotional cycle, with “Lunch” being the only track to receive a music video so far. This autumn, Eilish will embark on a massive tour to promote her new album, with dates across North America, Europe, and Australia.
