The concert you wanted to see all the way through will be shown again on TV.
Billy Joel fans were left disappointed when CBS suddenly ended the broadcast of his 100th Madison Square Garden show during the final verse of “Piano Man.”
The concert was scheduled for prime time but faced delays due to the Masters golf tournament. It was further interrupted for local news, causing viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones to miss the pivotal moment in Joel’s “The Greatest Arena Run of All Time.”
Fans took to social media to express their frustration over the network’s decision, highlighting the months of promotion leading up to the event. While local affiliates have apologized for the disruption, CBS has yet to respond to the incident.
Joel has two more concerts scheduled at MSG on April 26 and May 9 before embarking on a summer tour of baseball stadiums that concludes in November.
