Jazz’s rich repertoire, built on timeless standards like “Body and Soul,” “Take the ‘A’ Train,” and “Giant Steps,” remains a vital part of the genre’s past, present, and future. To honor this legacy, Blue Note Tokyo, Book Works, and BEAMS T have teamed up to create a unique collection titled “Three the Jazz Way.” Described by Book Works as a “reharmonization” of Blue Note’s classic merchandise, this collection is a collaborative remix that pays homage to the club’s slogan, “The Jazz Capital of the World.”
Three the Jazz Way Collection Overview
The “Three the Jazz Way” collection features a variety of items, including two t-shirt designs, a hat, and a tote bag. One t-shirt showcases a bold “Three the Jazz Way” graphic on the front with co-branded details on the back. The other t-shirt displays a world map “record” graphic with co-branded text, applied subtly on the left chest and prominently on the back. The adjustable, unstructured six-panel hats feature embroidered text graphics, while the tote bags are adorned with various logo treatments.
Availability at Blue Note Tokyo and BEAMS T
This exclusive collection will be available at Blue Note Tokyo, the BEAMS T store in Harajuku, BEAMS T’s network of stockists in Japan, and the BEAMS webstore starting at 12:30 JST on July 14. To celebrate the release, BEAMS T Harajuku will host a launch party from 5-8 PM on the same day. The event’s flyer cleverly nods to the iconic cover art of Sonny Clark’s Cool Struttin’, a 1958 hard bop classic.
Don’t miss the chance to get your hands on these stylish pieces that beautifully blend jazz heritage with contemporary fashion.
