The initial teaser, seen in the tweet below, features “live” footage of a group vandalizing Mount Rushmore with banners reading “The Truth Lies” draped over the famous sculptures’ eyes. The second teaser shows the same group putting up “The Truth Lies” posters. Both teasers are part of a larger teaser campaign at thetruthlies.com, a website displaying a TV with six channels, hinting at more teaser content to come.
In addition to these teasers, a blurred image, supposedly the game’s cover art, has been circulating on social media, calling back to the original ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ cover. According to IGN, Microsoft plans to announce that ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’ will be available on Game Pass at launch during its June Xbox showcase. The entire Call of Duty back catalog is expected to hit Game Pass before Black Ops 6 drops in October. While this hasn’t been confirmed by Microsoft, it aligns with Xbox president Sarah Bond’s comments about all Microsoft-developed games being available on Game Pass at launch. Earlier this year, Microsoft completed its acquisition of Activision, further supporting this potential announcement.
Stay tuned for more updates on thetruthlies.com and at Xbox’s showcase on June 9. The excitement for ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’ is just beginning!
