‘Camera Roll Orgy’ Showcases Hidden Gems by Renowned Photographers

The Camera Roll Orgy exhibition has opened in New York City, showcasing digital images turned into physical prints by some of the city’s top photographers. Curated by Thomas Polcaster, the show delves into the transition of digital snapshots from phone screens to tangible art. “Our camera rolls have replaced physical photo albums. They’re trapped in the digital realm, waiting to be released,” Polcaster told Dazed. Held at The Shop in the Lower East Side, the exhibition includes works by Ryan McGinley, Jack Pierson, Lyle Ashton Harris, and more.

Exhibition Details:

  • Dates: Until June 22, 2024
  • Location: The Shop, 176 Delancey St., New York, NY
