Cey Adams’s impact on hip-hop culture is undeniable, as he played a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of iconic artists such as Jay-Z, Run DMC, and The Notorious B.I.G. His four-decade career, including his tenure as the founding Creative Director for Def Jam Recordings, solidifies his legacy in the industry.

Now, a retrospective exhibition titled “CEY ADAMS, DEPARTURE: 40 Years of Art and Design” at Mad Arts in Dania Beach celebrates his journey with over 60 of his designs spanning various media. 

Adams’s evolution from street graffiti artist to influential designer is showcased, highlighting his enduring influence on contemporary art and design.
