Close Friends Only: Instagram’s New Live Feature Gets Personal

image

In a move that’s all about keeping it intimate, Instagram is rolling out a major update to its Live feature. As of now, users can choose to broadcast Live sessions exclusively to their Close Friends list! That’s right, no more public Live streams unless you want them to be.

Previously, anyone could tune in to a public account’s Live session, even if they weren’t following the account. But with this update, you get to control who’s part of the party. And, you can even add up to three co-hosts from your Close Friends list to join in on the fun!

This update is part of a series of tweaks Instagram is making to its features. You can now also add music to video carousels (because, why not?!).

Stay tuned to Wally for more Instagram updates, and get ready to take your Live sessions to the next level with Close Friends-Only mode!
