Dustyn Kim, who currently serves as the chief revenue officer of Artsy, has been appointed president of the digital art marketplace, becoming the first woman to hold this position since the company’s inception in 2009.

Kim joined Artsy in 2017 as vice president of galleries, fairs, and institutions. In her new role, she will continue to oversee all revenue lines while leading business operations to support CEO Jeffrey Yin, who was recently promoted from chief financial officer and general counsel.

Under Kim’s leadership, Artsy has expanded significantly, now supporting over 4,000 galleries, auction houses, art fairs, and institutions in more than 100 countries. “She has been at the helm of strengthening Artsy’s secondary market offering, developing multiple new selling options for our collectors,” Artsy stated. “Kim has also been integral to building the company’s reputation as the most trusted and secure online art marketplace.”

In a statement to ARTnews, Kim expressed her commitment to the platform’s partners and collectors: “I remain deeply committed to supporting our gallery, art fair, and auction partners—helping them increase their success on Artsy with new and expanded ways to develop collector relationships and drive sales. At the same time, you’ll see an increased focus from Artsy on making the collector experience of discovering, purchasing, and selling art even easier and more joyful.”

Kim’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Artsy as the company continues to evolve and enhance its services in the online art market.
