Eli Russell Linnetz Unveils ‘MONUMENTS’ Exhibit Featuring Mount Rushmore Pizza Oven

image

Eli Russell Linnetz has taken the Los Angeles art world by storm with his ‘MONUMENTS’ exhibit at the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery. A contemporary, multi-talented artist, Linnetz pushes boundaries as he explores America’s past and present for a new generation. Known for his innovative music videos, sculptural projects, photography, live events, and acclaimed fashion label ERL, Linnetz now brings his debut solo fine art exhibit to LA.

The immersive experience transforms the gallery with a bold splash of neon shock orange, reimagining iconic American symbols and landscapes. Linnetz creatively reinterprets American landmarks, turning Mount Rushmore into a functional pizza oven and offering a fresh take on the Statue of Liberty. The “Mount Rushmore Pizza Oven” is not just an art piece but a working oven, with guests encouraged to enjoy gallery-hosted dinners. These pieces are among the larger-scale explorations of perennial American monuments in the exhibit.

Amid the concrete grey monuments, Linnetz’s other works include a series of abstract, monochrome portraits of presidents and founding fathers like Theodore Roosevelt, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. The exhibit also features a rack of hoodies, echoing the artist’s fashion label and commenting on American symbolism.

An earlier version of the fallen Statue of Liberty was showcased during Linnetz’s 2023 Pitti Uomo presentation for his Spring 2024 menswear runway. The gallery is open until August 3, with art pieces starting at $10,000 USD.

Explore Eli Russell Linnetz’s ‘MONUMENTS’ exhibit and experience a bold reinvigoration of America’s iconic landmarks.
