Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna has garnered attention for her distinctive fusion of Arab pop and Latin rhythms. Her tracks, such as “Sokkar” and “Ana Lahale,” reflect a blend of cultural influences and poignant themes of pride, resilience, love, and displacement.
Elyanna’s musical journey began when she relocated to California at the age of 15. There, she connected with producers Nasri and Massari, who encouraged her to perform in Arabic. This collaboration has endured for seven years, and Elyanna believes her sound is now ready for a global audience. As she prepares for her forthcoming international tour, she finds strength in the support of her team, family, and friends.
From Nazareth to Global Stages
Her debut album, WOLEDTO—translating to “I am born” in English—was released in April, setting the stage for her upcoming tour across North America and Europe, which starts in October. This tour follows a series of festival appearances and marks a significant expansion of her reach.
Elyanna reflects on her roots, noting, “Back home in Nazareth, dreams don’t always come true. It’s very rare. Being a Palestinian girl living in LA and embracing who I am is a significant achievement.” Her early exposure to music through her father has been a driving force in her career, shaping her desire to introduce her unique sound to a broader audience.
Elyanna remains committed to representing her Palestinian-Chilean identity. “I’m just a very proud Palestinian-Chilean girl, and I am always going to represent who I am,” she asserts.
