Despite facing controversies and setbacks, the 10th edition of Only Watch unfolded at Geneva’s Palexpo with resounding success. The biennial auction, which saw several brands dropping out, proceeded smoothly, drawing collectors, brands, journalists, and influencers from around the globe.
Under Christie’s gavel, 47 lots were presented, culminating in a staggering fundraising total of 28.3 million CHF (approximately $31.1 million) for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research.
The standout of the evening was Patek Philippe’s Ref. 6301A-010, a Rare Handcrafts Grande and Petite Sonnerie Minute Repeater, fetched an astonishing 15.7 million CHF (about $17.3 million), far surpassing its initial estimate of 1.5 – 1.8 million CHF.
Other notable sales included F.P. Journe’s Chronomètre Furtif Bleu, raising 2 million CHF, and Rexhep Rexhepi’s Chronomètre Antimagnétique, which sold for 2.1 million CHF.
