Fender Tokyo Launches Special Esquire Guitars Featuring Katsushika Hokusai Art

Fender’s flagship store in Tokyo has launched a new series of guitars featuring artwork by renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.

Named the Made in Japan Art Canvas Hokusai collection, these limited edition Fender Esquire guitars showcase Hokusai’s famous depictions of Mount Fuji, including “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa,” “Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit/Rainstorm Beneath the Summit,” and “Tama River in Musashi Province.” These iconic landscapes adorn the electric guitar bodies, paired with an American Vintage ‘58 Single-Coil pickup and a three-position selector.

Each guitar in Fender’s Made in Japan Art Canvas Hokusai collection is priced at ¥198,000 JPY (approximately $1,230 USD) and will be exclusively available at Fender Flagship Tokyo. Sales will be conducted through a lottery system, with shipping scheduled for the end of November.
