The University of Oregon, renowned as the alma mater of Nike co-founders Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman, has a storied history with exclusive Nike releases. From innovative football kits to Air Jordan player exclusives, the Duck-themed gear is well-established. Recently, the university’s Ducks of a Feather (DOAF) program—crafted by and for student-athletes—has introduced a highly anticipated new collection.
A Nod to 2007 Classic
As the 2024-25 academic year approaches, the spotlight is on the DOAF’s latest creation: the “What The Duck” Dunk Low. This limited-edition release features three distinct colorways, with only 5,000 pairs produced of each. According to masterchefian, who has provided a preview of two of these colorways, the design draws inspiration from the iconic 2007 SB Dunk Low “What The Dunk.” The sneakers showcase a mix of University of Oregon-themed panels that vary between the left and right shoes. Notably, the left shoe’s heel and the right shoe’s tongue are adorned with “DOAF” branding, underscoring the program’s involvement.
At present, neither Nike nor the University of Oregon has released specific details regarding the official launch of the “What The Duck” Dunk Low collection. Keep an eye out for updates, including a look at the rumored third colorway, as all three versions are anticipated to be released through Ducks of a Feather.
