The Nike SB Dunk Low continues to be a standout in Nike SB’s lineup, recently showcased in a collaboration with There Skateboards. Now, the iconic silhouette is set to be reimagined with a “The Wizard of Oz” theme, potentially timed to align with the release of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked.
Nike SB Dunk Low: A Nod to the Oz Universe
This isn’t the first time the SB Dunk Low has drawn inspiration from the Oz universe; a “Dorothy” colorway was released in 2015. For 2024, the upcoming edition features a vibrant color scheme reminiscent of the poppy field scene from the 1939 film. Expect an array of colors including orange, red, yellow, green, and black. The shoe will also include unique details such as the Wicked Witch of the West on the sockliner and Dorothy’s famous “No Place Like Home” quote on the heel.
Sneaker Release: The Wizard of Oz Edition
As of now, Nike SB has not confirmed the official release date for this collaboration. However, the Nike SB Dunk Low “The Wizard of Oz” is anticipated to launch later this year through Nike SNKRS and select skate shops, with a starting price of $135 USD.
