Nike treated sneaker enthusiasts to an exclusive preview of its upcoming releases during the SNKRS Showcase event last October. With over 30 new releases, including the return of many classic silhouettes, the event had something for everyone. Among the highlights was the latest “World Tour” pack for the Air Force 1 Low, featuring colorways inspired by Las Vegas, Seoul, and Shanghai. While the “Las Vegas” pair debuted earlier this year, we now have an official look at the “Seoul” edition.
Nike Air Force 1 “Seoul”: A Unique Design Inspired by Korean Culture
The “Seoul” Air Force 1 Low boasts a tumbled leather upper in a striking dark green hue. Black overlays complement the deep purple reflective Swooshes and laces, while forest green accents appear on the tongue and heel branding. The shoe is supported by an Air-backed sole unit with a semi-translucent light purple midsole and black outsole. The design is completed with a star-shaped dubrae, an embroidered taegeuk symbol on the interior heel, and an embroidered “1982” note on the tongue’s interior, referencing the lifting of South Korea’s curfew that year.
Nike has yet to announce the release date for the “Seoul” Air Force 1 Low. Stay tuned for updates as it’s expected to drop via Nike SNKRS and select retailers worldwide later this year at a starting price of $135 USD.
