After launching a new series of Re-Optimum products earlier this summer, the minimalist outdoor brand Goldwin returns with its Fall/Winter 2024 collection. This latest offering draws inspiration from Japan’s natural beauty, rich culture, and the daily lives of its people.
Goldwin’s functional outerwear takes center stage this season. Leading the collection is the PERTEX UNLIMITED 2L jacket, which features a cotton-like texture combined with a two-layer, water-resistant fabric that is both windproof and moisture-permeable. Another key piece is the GORE-TEX Connector Jacket, engineered with highly waterproof GORE-TEX materials in 70 denier thickness, providing superior durability and protection against the elements. Additionally, the PERTEX SHILEDAIR Oversized Shirt is tailored for warmer conditions, boasting high moisture-permeability and split raglan sleeves for enhanced breathability. These pieces are available in a range of muted, nature-inspired tones that reflect the collection’s deep connection to Japan’s landscapes.
Expanding on this theme, the Wool Blend Twill 2B Jacket represents Goldwin’s sophisticated take on the classic blazer. This piece is crafted from a fabric that merges the warmth and odor resistance of wool with the strength of polyester. The jacket pairs effortlessly with cargo pants made from the same material, featuring a relaxed straight cut, adjustable drawcord, and elastic waist for both comfort and style. The collection is rounded out by a variety of pullovers, cardigans, hoodies, hiking shirts, mountaineering pants, and everyday trousers, all designed to integrate seamlessly into daily life while celebrating Japanese craftsmanship.
Goldwin’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection will be available for purchase online and at the brand’s San Francisco flagship starting August 16. The campaign imagery, shot by Stefan Dotter in the scenic city of Kamakura, underscores the collection’s deep ties to Japan’s natural environment and cultural heritage.
