Istanbul-based label Les Benjamins has just launched an exciting collaboration with heritage fashion house HUGO. This first-time partnership brings forth a luxury capsule collection that combines the distinct fashion craftsmanship of both brands.
The 18-piece range from Les Benjamins incorporates its signature storytelling by referencing the children of Gastarbeiter, known as “the key kids.” The brand weaves tales of independence and resilience into the collection through specially designed motifs. Double insignias of two swans and a rose emblem adorn the garments, symbolizing the unity of HUGO’s heritage with Les Benjamins’ history.
Exploring the interculturality between East and West, streetwear and sartorial styles, the collection features HUGO’s timeless tailoring reimagined with Les Benjamins’ contemporary cuts. This fusion can be seen in a boxy double-breasted suit and a co-ord with a cut-out blazer. Beaded embellishments in red and black tones complement these designs along the lapels, enhancing the unique motifs.
The collection also includes a raw-edged, carpenter-style set and bomber jacket, adding a casual touch. The carpenter set features exposed red stitching against beige material, while the bomber jacket makes a statement with dual branded patches, swan prints, and red cuffs. Mid-layer options such as a beaded collar shirt, satin-lined corset, and printed T-shirts offer versatility for mixing and matching.
Rounding out this smart-meets-street style collection are an elongated necktie, a canvas bucket hat, and specially designed hosiery, adding an unconventional yet practical touch to this fashion capsule.
