IShowSpeed’s Viral Encounter with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Milan

Popular streamer IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins, experienced an unforgettable moment when he unexpectedly met football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his visit to Milan on Tuesday night.

Known for his live-streaming on platforms like YouTube, where he boasts over 26.1 million subscribers, IShowSpeed has been touring Europe in recent weeks. His adventures have taken him to countries like Sweden, Poland, and Norway, where he was greeted by excited fans.

During his travels, IShowSpeed live-streamed a watchalong of the Euro 2024 quarter-final between France and Portugal, and he was visibly emotional when his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, was knocked out of the competition.

The highlight of Speed’s latest content is his memorable meeting with Ibrahimovic. The footage captures Speed being introduced to the football star in the AC Milan dressing room. “Finally, I get to meet you,” Zlatan said, adding, “This is the real deal.” Despite mispronouncing Speed’s name, the Swede’s genuine excitement was evident.

In a humorous twist, Speed attempted a one-on-one battle with Ibrahimovic, which ended with the streamer being playfully floored by a shoulder barge from the former Manchester United and PSG striker. The duo later shared a taxi ride around Milan, during which Zlatan was asked whether he prefers Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Earlier this year, in May, IShowSpeed managed to attend Manchester United’s FA Cup after-party. Donning his 2023/24 United shirt, Speed was spotted at Wembley, engaging with fans of both teams. He later mingled with players like Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, and Kobbie Mainoo at the after-party.

Speed and Alejandro Garnacho even performed Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siuuu’ celebration, followed by Speed’s attempt to replicate Ronaldo’s overhead kick against Everton. He also had a brief interaction with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, who looked puzzled when Speed asked him to sign him.
