After launching his anti-streaming platform Vault.fm in March, James Blake has released a new track, “Thrown Around,” available on all streaming platforms. Blake describes the four-and-a-half-minute song as “defiant” and a tribute to the music he grew up with in England. The track, co-created with Dom Maker, started as an ambient piece inspired by British electronic bands. Blake says it addresses the isolation from a work-centric life, aiming to connect people through its defiant message. This is his first release since Playing Robots Into Heaven last September. Stream “Thrown Around” on Spotify and Apple Music.
