Japandroids have announced their final album, “Fate & Alcohol,” set to be released on October 18 via Anti-. This album follows their 2017 release “Near to the Wild Heart of Life.” Leading the new album is the single “Chicago,” which you can find below.
The Band Formation
The band, consisting of guitarist and vocalist Brian King and drummer and vocalist David Prowse, met as students in the mid-2000s at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. They later moved to Vancouver and released their debut album, “Post-Nothing,” in 2009. Their sophomore album, “Celebration Rock,” came out in 2012 to critical acclaim, leading to extensive touring. After a break, they returned with “Near to the Wild Heart of Life” before announcing their final album, “Fate & Alcohol.”
