Joe Jonas Omits Sophie Turner Lyric at Jonas Brothers Concert

Joe Jonas made a notable choice during his July 6 performance at the Festival d’été de Québec with his brothers Nick and Kevin. The singer opted not to sing a lyric referencing his estranged wife, Sophie Turner, from their 2019 song “Cool.” Instead of delivering the line “Oh, I feel like Post Malone when I get home / Sittin’ there, winnin’ like it’s Game of Thrones,” Joe avoided mentioning the popular HBO series, as reported by Page Six.

Sophie Turner gained widespread fame for her portrayal of Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, a role she played from 2011 until the show’s conclusion in 2019. This isn’t the first time Joe has skipped this particular lyric. During a concert in April, he also avoided it, letting the audience take over that part of the song.

Joe’s decision to steer clear of the Game of Thrones reference comes amid his ongoing divorce from Sophie Turner. Us Weekly confirmed last year that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” leading to their announcement the next day that they were ending their marriage. In a joint statement shared via Instagram in September 2023, the couple wrote, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

As Joe navigates this challenging time, his choice to omit certain lyrics underscores the sensitivity surrounding their separation. Fans continue to support both Joe and Sophie as they move forward separately.
