Jordan Peele is preparing to unleash another psychological horror flick onto audiences. Titled “Him,” this upcoming film is produced by Peele and is slated for release next year, featuring Marlon Wayans in a starring role.
Recently announced by Universal and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Justin Tipping will be directing the film, previously known by the working title “GOAT.” Wayans is set to portray a renowned quarterback assigned with mentoring a rising young athlete, played by Tyriq Withers, who later heads to the aging athlete’s secluded compound for training. Alongside Withers and Wayans, the cast includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Guapdad 4000, and Tierra Whack, with both Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack making their feature film debuts in “Him.” The screenplay is crafted by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, creators of the sci-fi series “Limetown,” with Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal Watson joining the production team for Monkeypaw.
The film continues Peele’s legacy of gripping horror works like “Nope,” “Get Out,” and “Candyman.” Universal assures fans that “Him” will offer another bone-chilling odyssey into the depths of fame, power, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. “Him” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 19, 2025.
