KAIA, a British-German brand known for its timelessly unique and hand-crafted “Lighting Objets d’art,” has unveiled two new collections at this year’s Milan Design Week.
Introducing the ‘Empyrean’ collection, a collaboration between KAIA, The Guild of Saint Luke (GSL Works), and British designer John Whelan. This collection features a chandelier and a wall lamp, both powered by KAIA’s innovative LED lamps. The Empyrean Chandelier, a dynamic and expressive piece, brings a timeless, dimensional appeal to any space.
The Trap Lamp, designed as a sconce, boasts a polished stainless steel structure with honeycomb-like perforations. Its metallic frame emits a soft, warm glow, powered by KAIA’s NEA light.
KAIA proudly presents its first-ever furniture collection, ‘Hearg.’ The name, derived from an old English word meaning altar, is a testament to the collection’s inspiration. It includes an aluminum table and chair, with the Hearg Table’s legs drawing inspiration from the monolithic concrete structures at London’s Euston station.
The Seld Chair complements the table with a uniform silhouette. It features black leather back panels and a seat. Motorcycle specialists hand-stitched these leather components in the Bavarian countryside, exemplifying the brand’s dedication to artisanal craftsmanship.
The new collections are currently available for inquiry on KAIA’s website.
