Kendrick Lamar is back in the spotlight, dropping new music once again via Instagram. Following the surprise release of “Euphoria” earlier in the week, which included pointed jabs at Drake and J. Cole, K-Dot isn’t slowing down. His latest track, “6:16 in LA,” continues the trend of lyrical disses.
The Instagram-exclusive release of “6:16 in LA” humorously references Drake’s signature titling style, while also paying homage to 2pac, whose birthday falls on June 16th.
In the song, Lamar doesn’t hold back, aiming more shots at Drake:
“Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it / Can’t Toosie Slide up outta this one, it’s just gon’ resurface,” he asserts.
He also offers some advice to Drake, suggesting that his tactics are transparent and his influence is waning.
At present, “6:16 in LA” is exclusively available for streaming on Kendrick’s Instagram. Keep an eye out for further updates. Meanwhile, you can listen to “euphoria” on Spotify and Apple Music.
