This agreement expands upon the label’s 15-year partnership with the artist, who has released four albums and numerous singles, as well as collaborated extensively with other musicians.
Parker’s songwriting credits include tracks for a diverse array of artists such as Rihanna, Travis Scott, Dua Lipa, and Kendrick Lamar, among many others. His recent work includes a substantial contribution to Dua Lipa’s latest record, “Radical Optimism.”
Reflecting on the sale, Parker expressed the weight of passing on ownership of his songs, emphasizing the deep personal investment in his creative output. However, he expressed trust and confidence in Sony Music Publishing, citing positive past experiences with the label.
