Lil Yachty Reflects on Regret Over Drake and Kendrick Lamar Beef Comments

In a recent appearance on Andrew Schulz’s  Flagrant podcast, Lil Yachty discussed his earlier comments on the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, a subject still fervently debated within the hip-hop community. Reflecting on his previous remarks, Yachty admitted, “I think people are just hating on Drake because he’s the guy,” but expressed regret, saying, “I wish I had never [spoken] on it. I wish I hadn’t said any part about it.”

Yachty also addressed a controversy involving a post he liked on X, which suggested Kendrick Lamar had cheated on his wife. He clarified, “That really was an accident.” Commenting further on the feud, Yachty noted, “Outside of the people who care about hip-hop, [nobody gives a f**k] at all.”

As a longtime friend and collaborator of Drake, Yachty shared insights into Drake’s demeanour regarding the feud. He emphasized that Drake remained largely unaffected by the drama: “He really didn’t give a f**k. He was unfazed. I respect it a lot and I talked to him. That s**t didn’t bother him. I never saw him down ever. I never saw him kicking his foot [or] holding his head down. [It got] to a point where I just stopped talking to him about it because I felt like I was the one bringing him the negativity.”

Earlier this year, Yachty had discussed his views on the *A Safe Place* podcast, where he suggested that Drake was already perceived as a “loser” in the battle before it even started.
