London Fashion Week (LFW) returns this June with a special focus on menswear and a series of events marking its 40th anniversary. Organized by the British Fashion Council (BFC), this year’s edition runs from June 7 to June 9 and features a condensed schedule packed with runway shows, presentations, exhibitions, and panel discussions.
A highlight of this year’s LFW is the ‘40 for 40’ program, celebrating the event’s four decades of influence in the fashion industry. This program will see 40 activations hosted by British brands and designers across London, including exclusive catwalk shows and special presentations. Notable designers such as Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, QASIMI, and Claudia Wang will showcase their latest collections, offering a mix of established names and emerging talent.
The June edition traditionally focuses on menswear, and this year is no exception. However, the BFC has expanded the scope to include significant cultural influences on British fashion. The event will spotlight Black culture, South Asian culture, and queer culture, each recognized for their substantial impact on the fashion landscape. These cultural highlights will be explored through a photography exhibition titled “A Celebration of Culture,” guest-curated by prominent figures such as Clara Amfo and Kai-Isaiah Jamal.
Public engagement is also a key feature, with several ticketed events allowing broader access to the festivities. The schedule includes a mix of invitation-only shows and public exhibitions, ensuring that fashion enthusiasts of all kinds can participate in the celebrations.
