Nike is releasing new version of Air Force 1 Low-sneaker , called “1972” to pay homage to a significant year in its history.
The shoe has a white leather upper with mesh panels replacing the usual swooshes. Other features include blue and red bubbled checks on the tongue, and Nike 1972 insoles in brown, red, and blue. These design elements are inspired by Nike’s history and create a sense of nostalgia.
The sneaker also has embroidered Nike Air heel logos in blue and red, along with a brown debossed ankle stamp featuring the Goddess of Victory, after whom Nike is named.
The shoe’s midsoles and outsoles are white, and it comes with brown and yellow rope laces. The Air Force 1 Low “1972” is a mix of traditional and contemporary design elements.
It will be available for purchase this summer from Nike and select retailers.
