Matt Bollinger’s ‘Halftime’ Explores the Depths of Loneliness

featured image

Matt Bollinger’s solo exhibition, Halftime, at mother’s tankstation in London, delves into the notion of halftime and its significance in contemporary America. Traditionally a sports break for rest and strategy, Bollinger extends this metaphor to our current lives, especially in the post-pandemic era.

Through his evocative Ashcan School-inspired compositions, Bollinger addresses whether we are in a pause, contemplating progress or stagnation. The exhibition raises questions about American aspirations, outcomes, and whether we are content or facing profound loneliness.

Halftime runs until June 29, 2024, at mother’s tankstation in London.

Exhibition Details:

  • Dates: Until June 29, 2024
  • Location: mother’s tankstation, 48 Three Colts Ln, London E2 6GQ, United Kingdom
