Following their standout collaboration with BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, Gentle Monster teams up with Mugler for an exciting new eyewear release. The striking Spiral 01 and Spiral 02 silhouettes combine the distinctive energies and ethos of both brands to create two unique pairs of sunglasses that reimagine Mugler’s archival eyewear models through a modern lens.
Inspired by Mugler’s geometric design principles, the Spiral 01 draws from the Fourmis eyewear model, first introduced in the House’s Les Insectes couture collection in 1997. Featuring a wide, goggle-like shape, these glasses include rubber nose pads for comfort and subtle branded accents throughout.
The Spiral 02 also showcases an amplified goggle shape, with embossed line detailing and chrome branding etched onto the temples. Both models come in three different colorways, offering versatile style options.
Colin Jones and Georgia Palmer front the dynamic campaign, shot by Theo Liu, which pays homage to “visual innovators” like Manfred Thierry Mugler and Helmut Newton. The campaign can be explored in the top gallery.
