Over the weekend, a new mysterious monolith was discovered in the Nevada desert, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). The structure, first reported by LVPDSAR, a volunteer search and rescue unit, is located near Gass Peak, north of the Las Vegas Valley.
This sighting is reminiscent of the first metal monolith that appeared in Utah in 2020. Following the Utah discovery, similar metal columns began popping up around the world, sparking curiosity and speculation. The origins of the Utah monolith remain a mystery to this day.
Mysterious Echo of Kubrick’s Classic
The Nevada Desert monolith closely resembles the Utah structure, featuring a sleek, mirror-like finish that calls to mind the iconic monolith from Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 sci-fi classic, *2001: A Space Odyssey*. The enigmatic appearance of these monoliths continues to intrigue and captivate onlookers.
