J. Cole’s latest album, “Might Delete Later,” debuted at No. 2 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart. This marks another impressive feat in his discography, as the album garnered 115,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
The majority of these units, 105,000, came from streaming, which equates to 137.95 million on-demand streams. The remaining units came from 9,000 album sales and 1,000 track equivalent units.
Interestingly, the album includes a diss track called “7 Minute Drill,” which was directed at Kendrick Lamar, although it has since been deleted.
Other notable debuts this week include TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s “Minisode 3: TOMORROW” at No. 3 and Benson Boone at No. 6. Beyoncé’s “COWBOY CARTER” maintained its position at the top of the chart.
Additionally, Future and Metro Boomin, Morgan Wallen, Ariana Grande, Noah Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo, and SZA all had a strong presence in the top 10. Making it a diverse and exciting week for music across genres.
