Nina Chanel Abney is a renowned contemporary artist who is collaborating for the second time with Jordan Brand to release a new version of the Air Jordan 3 sneakers.
This collaboration follows a successful first venture which featured the Air Jordan 2 and a clothing collection. Art fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike can expect the new release in June 2024.
The collaboration showcases the Air Jordan 3 in green tones of Bicoastal and Malachite, using premium suede and canvas uppers. The design is accentuated by Fossil-colored midsoles, laces, eyelets, and interiors, and features a custom heel back that adds a new twist to the iconic silhouette.
The sneaker’s design also includes thicker rope laces that align with Abney’s artistic vision and bring a lifestyle aesthetic to the shoe. Abney gave a sneak peek of the collaboration in February, revealing the reimagined Air Jordan 3 heel.
The sneaker is set to release on June 20th, 2024, and will cost $225.
