Porsche and PUMA have launched their new partnership with a sneaker that celebrates 50 years of 911 Turbo. The line-up consists of 12 distinctive designs, each being limited to 911 pairs only.
“Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930” models take inspiration from historic Porsche vehicles. “Turbo No. 1,” which is a tribute to the one that Porsche gave to Louise Piëch for her 70th birthday, has a metallic silver color scheme with a red and blue tartan interior, reminding of the original 911 Turbo´s design. Oak Green Metallic is the painting of the “Turbo 930” sneaker, designed to honor the 1976 Turbo of Dr. Ferry Porsche, which will have a green tartan interior.
PUMA and Porsche Unveil Exclusive Turbo Models
The two sets are made from the high-quality stuff; the “Turbo No. 1” model uses full-grain leather and the “Turbo 930” one uses nubuck leather. As well as various other cool features such as glowing turbo lettering and a 3D-printed Porsche Crest on the heel, a commemorative plaque for the 50th anniversary will be present.
Alongside the shown models, Porsche will also bring out ten of its market-exclusive editions, each of them inspired by a particular 911 Turbo from markets like the U.S., Japan, and Germany. Hotcakes will be in a limited sold out range during their exclusive market introduction.
This entire product offering is to set sail on August 29, 2024, via the Porsche online store with €169 EUR price tag or via the Porsche Museum Shop at $190 USD.
