Post Malone’s Debut at the ACM Awards
Post Malone made his much-anticipated debut at the ACM Awards on Thursday, May 16, held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The performance began with an old-school country classic before transitioning into “I Had Some Help,” his latest release with Morgan Wallen. Despite expectations, Wallen did not join Malone on stage for the awards.
A Memorable Performance and Country Music Crossover
Malone, known for hits like “Mourning” and “Sunflower,” sported a white Dallas Cowboys jersey, while his band donned bright blue versions of the NFL uniform. During the event, Malone and host Reba McEntire surprised fans with an acapella rendition of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Ramblin’ Man.”
Fans had been buzzing about Malone’s venture into country music since he teased it on social media back in March. The excitement peaked when Malone and Wallen performed “I Had Some Help” live for the first time at Stagecoach a few weeks ago.
Post Malone’s crossover into country music at the ACM Awards marked a significant moment for his fans and the music industry alike, showcasing his versatility and expanding his repertoire beyond his familiar genres.
