Authorities are currently probing a shooting incident outside Drake’s residence in Toronto. The gunfire occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, injuring one of the rapper’s security guards stationed at the entrance of the Bridle Path estate.
According to Toronto police inspector Paul Krawczyk, the victim sustained serious injuries and is currently hospitalized. It remains unconfirmed whether Drake was present at the time of the shooting.
During a press briefing, Krawczyk revealed that the incident was captured on video surveillance, and the assailant fled immediately afterward. A motive for the shooting has yet to be determined.
While speculation arose about potential ties to Drake’s recent feud with Kendrick Lamar, Krawczyk emphasized that it’s premature to establish a connection based solely on the ongoing rap rivalry.
