Seiko has introduced three new Prospex Solar Speedtimer Chronographs, each drawing inspiration from different aspects of motorsports while paying homage to the iconic style of the 1970s, when the first Seiko Speedtimer was introduced.
Named “Grand Touring,” one variant features a stainless steel construction and a sunburst gray dial reminiscent of vintage muscle cars. Its navy blue aluminum bezel adds a touch of sophistication, contrasting with the Lumibrite indices, while the subdials are sleek in black.
The “Circuit Race” model opts for a predominantly black aesthetic, with midnight blue sub-counters offering a subtle contrast. Gold-plated indices, bezel ring, hands, and pushers evoke the excitement of vintage circuit racing.
Finally, the “Racing Sports” edition takes inspiration from lightweight sports cars of the past. Its ivory dial pairs elegantly with deep blue subdials, while tonal Lumibrite hour markers blend seamlessly. Finished with a dark green bezel and rally-style leather strap, this model exudes classic racing charm.
Scheduled for release in June through Seiko, these Prospex Solar Speedtimer Chronographs will range in price from £590 to £620 GBP (approximately $739 to $776 USD).
