Sharon Van Etten’s fourth studio album, Are We There, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with a special edition release on May 31 via Jagjaguwar. A 7″ featuring an alternate version of the single “Every Time the Sun Comes Up” will be available physically on August 23. This new rendition, inspired by Joy Division, evolved during rehearsals for the We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong Tour. Van Etten previously marked anniversaries for other albums like Epic Ten and Tramp.

Since Are We There, she has released two albums, 2019’s Remind Me Tomorrow and 2022’s We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, and ventured into acting with roles in The OA and films like Never Rarely Sometimes Always and How It Ends. Last year, she collaborated with Courtney Barnett and covered the Ink Spots with Michael Imperioli.
