Steven Harrington’s first museum solo exhibition is nearing its final weeks at the Amorepacific Museum of Art in Seoul. To mark this significant career milestone, the Los Angeles-based artist is set to release a new screen print titled “Getting Away.”
This artwork is an exact replica of a painting featured in his Stay Mello exhibition, portraying Harrington’s signature characters drifting away from a radiating Earth. Over the past 15 years, Harrington has steadily risen in prominence, collaborating with high-profile brands like Nike and the former Colette store in Paris, and hosting exhibitions in LA, China, and Seoul. Reflecting on his journey, Harrington shared with Hypeart, “I’m still trying to process it all. A lot of artists never get the chance to see their work in a museum like this within their lifetime.”
