Stone Island’s Prototype Research Series_08 Showcases Bold Cape

image

Stone Island debuts its latest innovation with Series 08 (Multiaxial-Project) of the Prototype Research Series, at Milan Design Week. This limited series revamps their 1982 cape using advanced techniques from the automotive and sports sectors, crafting only 100 pieces.

The capes, designed with a multiaxial linen base and innovative double-laminated material, are water-resistant and translucent, showcasing three military-inspired colorways.

Currently exhibited at Milan Design Week until April 21, the showcase splits into two main areas. “The Intellectual Space” offers a detailed journey through the creation process.

While “The Experiential Space” displays 32 capes in an interactive wall setup, emphasizing the fabric’s adaptability.

Visitors can expect an immersive experience with LED displays and, coming in May, a special capsule collection including tees and totes. For more details on this cutting-edge display and upcoming releases, visit Stone Island’s official site.
