Supreme revealed its latest collaboration with Nike during the early part of the season. After introducing a unique catalog set delving into its T-shirt archives spanning three decades, the New York-based brand returns with another joint venture with Nike. This time, the focus is revamping the Nike SB silhouette with four fresh iterations of the Darwin Low.
Initially introduced in 1994, the Nike Air Darwin was notable for featuring a backward Swoosh logo. While the original was crafted from leather, the Supreme iteration opts for a canvas upper adorned with contrasting branding.
The white variant pays homage to the original 1994 White/Teal/Black color scheme, with slight modifications, such as a light blue replacing the dark teal hue. Nylon webbing eyelets, tongue labels, eyestay embroidery, and a heel appliqué logo add subtle pops of color. Black accents dominate the Phylon midsole, rubber outsole, leather, and fleece collar, and tongue lining, giving the shoe a striking appearance.
In addition to white, the sneaker is offered in chartreuse, black, and Supreme’s seasonal camo print for Spring 2024. The collaborative Nike SB Darwin Low sneakers will be available starting May 2 in the U.S. via Supreme’s website, followed by an official launch in the Asia region on May 4.
