The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is set to host an exciting new exhibition dedicated to the one and only Taylor Swift. The free exhibition, titled Taylor Swift: Songbook Trail, will take visitors on a journey through the singer-songwriter’s life and career, featuring a collection of personal items, awards, and unseen treasures from her archive.
The exhibition will be divided into 13 stops, each representing a significant point in Swift’s career, from her early days in Nashville to her current status as a global superstar. Among the highlights are the cowboy boots she wore during her country music days and the stunning black ruffled dress from her music video for “Fortnight”.
According to Kate Bailey, Senior Curator of Theatre & Performance at the V&A, the exhibition aims to showcase Swift’s storytelling ability and her connections to art, history, and literature. The exhibition is designed by award-winning designer Tom Piper and will be staged in the museum’s permanent galleries until September 8, 2024.
The timing of the exhibition coincides with Swift’s highly successful Eras tour, which has taken over London and is expected to bring in a significant amount of revenue to the city. The V&A exhibition promises to be a must-visit for Swifties and music fans alike, offering a unique glimpse into the life and career of one of the world’s most beloved artists.
