At Sidecar Gallery, the evening takes center stage as the muse for the captivating exhibition titled ‘There is Feeling’. This unique collection features artworks that explore the nuanced emotions and atmospheric beauty of the twilight hours, offering visitors an evocative and immersive experience.

The exhibition brings together a diverse group of artists, each interpreting the evening through their unique artistic lens. From painting and photography to mixed media and installations, the artworks on display capture the essence of dusk, nightfall, and the ethereal moments in between.

Claire Johnson’s paintings are among the highlights, with her use of rich, deep hues and fluid brushstrokes conveying the tranquil yet mysterious nature of the evening. Her work, often inspired by her own evening walks, invites viewers to contemplate the serenity and solitude found in the fading light of day.

Twilight Magic: Sidecar Gallery’s Evening Exhibition

Photographer Liam Harper contributes a series of striking images that play with light and shadow to create hauntingly beautiful scenes. His photographs capture urban landscapes at night, where artificial lights and natural darkness blend to create a surreal, almost dreamlike quality.

Mixed media artist Rina Patel offers a different perspective with her tactile installations that invite physical interaction. Her pieces, crafted from a variety of materials, explore the sensory experiences of the evening, from the cool touch of night air to the sounds of nocturnal wildlife.

The exhibition also features interactive installations that engage visitors in a multisensory exploration of the evening. One such installation, by artist Alex Wong, uses light projections and ambient soundscapes to recreate the shifting atmospheres of dusk and night. Visitors can walk through the installation, experiencing the transition from twilight to deep night in an immersive, almost meditative way.

Curator Sophia Turner explains that the goal of the exhibition is to evoke a personal and emotional response from each visitor. “The evening is a time of reflection and introspection,” she says. “Through this exhibition, we hope to capture the many feelings that arise during these hours and present them in a way that resonates with everyone.”

Sidecar Gallery’s ‘There is Feeling’ exhibition offers a profound exploration of the evening’s beauty and emotional depth. It’s a must-see for art enthusiasts looking to experience the magic and mystery of the twilight hours through a diverse and engaging collection of works.
